The Perfect Gentleman

The Perfect Gentleman
ü     Never wears a hat inside.
ü     Holds the door for a lady.
ü     Stands when a lady enters or leaves the room…
ü     Walks on the street side of the sidewalk when walking with a young lady…
ü     Precedes a lady down the aisle of the theatre and takes the outer seat on the row, unless that is the better seat.  He then should relinquish that seat to her…
ü     Helps young ladies put their coats on and take them off…
ü     At the dinner table, a gentleman helps the woman to his right as she sits or rises from her chair…
ü     He knows that good hygiene doesn’t take long and it has to happen…
ü     Does not email or text anything he doesn’t want to see on the front page of the newspaper…
ü     Turns off his cell phone when entering a theatre, church or meeting…
ü     Never uses rude or vulgar language in front of a lady or children…
ü     Will offer his seat to a lady who has no place to sit…
ü     Treats others the way he would like to be treated…

ü     Removes his hat when he goes indoors. When he greets a woman outdoors, he raises his hat, and tips his head. He will wear gloves outdoors only, never inside, and never shakes hands in gloves.
